It is an improvement over the original square jar design. When making smoothies or protein shakes I no longer have to stop and scrape the sides of the jar as the contents no longer stick in corners. It's 350 watts is primitive compared to the 600-1000 watts the blenders have today, but the blender has been good to us and as long as it keeps making our rum runners and milkshakes we'll keep it. Unfortunately, a couple weeks ago I broke the original glass jar in the sink. I located the Oster brand glass jar #4918-020 at a huge discount electronics store and am completely satisfied. I love this 'newer' style over the old tall jar! It's dishwasher safe, has marked measuring indicators and the lid and filler cap is included. I paid less than $15 for it so I've no complaints. |
