I finally broke down and got this one. It is nice to be cord free, but it is pretty heavy, and big for my hands. It does blend well. The other thing I do not like, is that when you charge the base, it does not give you a green light that it is charged. That would be helpful. It is also very easy to charge, because the handle has a plug built right into it, no separate base. I really like the small mixer bowl attachment that came with it as well. It is LARGE. People with small hands might want hold one first before making an online purchase. I am not delighted with nicad batteries since they are fussy about being discharged before being recharged, but maybe they are necessary due to the large current draw of the motor. This is ideal for pureed soups.
